Payment is possible by credit card or PayPal. It is possible to change the means of payment at any time.

The payment details are verified by transferring or debiting 1 €. This 1 € will be used as a starting credit and can be used in all tariffs.

After debiting your credit card or PayPal, your customer account will be activated immediately.
2. Renting and returning
Quick. Simple. Flexible.
Rent a bicycle
Simply rent a bike via the nextbike app, scan the QR code directly on the bike and the lock will open automatically. Alternatively, you can also rent a bike via our hotline.
Parking
Need a break? Activate parking mode via the app or hotline and close the lock. In parking mode, the rental continues. Select “Open lock” before continuing.
Return
Simply park the bike at a city bike Linz station and lock it with the lever on the frame lock. The rental will end automatically. If you happen to find the official station full, you may put the bike next to the station and close the lock.
4 Bikes - 1 Account
You can rent up to four bikes at the same time on one account. Free minutes apply to the first ride per day.
Service fees
Returning bikes outside of stations in Linz is not allowed and will be penalised with a minimum service fee of 20 €.
Bike stations
Bikes can be returned at 42 city bike Linz stations.
Correct parking
Right 
If you happen to find the official station full, you may put the bike next to the station and close the lock.
